Ian Spencer commits to the University of Vermont

Ian Spencer of the Avalanche Bantam Major team has committed to play hockey for
the University of Vermont in 2012. "I learned to skate
at the Ice House and I've played hockey with the Avalanche for the last
8 years so I credit much of my development as a player to the
Avalanche Coaches" Ian said. "I can never thank them enough for all they have
taught me. But it is Coach May that I would like to especially
thank. Coach May has been my Coach since I was a Mite and he
has made me the hockey player that I am today and instilled in me how important
it is to be a great individual on and off the ice. I hope I have made him proud
that he has been my coach."
Ian fell in love with the school the moment he stepped on campus. The campus
is situated on Lake Champlain and surrounded by mountains. Ian will continue
to play for the Avalanche next season in preparation for his Catamount career.
The organization is happy to see Ian realize his dream of playing Division I college hockey. |
