With four (4) regulation size NHL rinks, Ice House is the largest facility of its kind in the Tri-State area. Located just minutes from New York City, the Ice House is recognized as a world-class skating facility. From its first year of operation, Ice House has consistently drawn attention and praises of everyone from Gold Medal Winning Olympic Skaters to NHL Professionals. Conveniently located on two levels with a full view of the rinks, we also offer a full service food court, Starbucks coffee bar, an arcade room, and meeting rooms. Ice House operates one of the largest full service hockey and skating pro shops in the New York-New Jersey area. Our expert hockey and skating staff can assist you by finding the right equipment to fit your specific level of competition needs.Ice House is the Atlantic Region's leader in youth, high school and adult amateur hockey. The Youth Hockey Program carries an enrollment in excess of 1000 players from ages 5-16. The Ice House Avalanche field 21 elite travel teams in both the New Jersey Youth Hockey League and Atlantic Metropolitan Hockey League.
The Figure Skating Program has gained worldwide recognition for its Olympic level skaters and coaches and has still maintained a comfortable and fun atmosphere for the entry-level skater. Ice House sent 9 skaters to the 2002 Olympics including gold medalists Sarah Hughes, Elena Bereznaia and Anton Sikharulidze. Other skaters including Tara Lipinski, Oksana Baiul, and Sasha Cohen make Ice House their local training facility.
If "learn-to-skate" or private lessons are your priority, you'll have plenty of company-the U.S. Figure Skating Association ranks Ice House as the No. 1 most popular program in the country. Classes are forming all year round and are reasonably priced so that everyone can take advantage of them. Once you feel comfortable on the ice, we offer plenty of open skate sessions where you and your friends can enjoy all the fun of skating.
