Program Details

Whether your goal is to achieve Olympic fame or simply enjoy the recreational benefits of skating, the Ice House LTS program is the ideal thing for you.

We have proficiency levels ranging from Basic 1 to Pre-Freeskate. For our 4 and 5 year olds we offer a 4 level Tot program (called Snowplow Sam) to prepare them for our regular classes. We also offer Parent/Tot classes! The skater will learn various techniques such as stopping and turning, just to name a few.

Every week one of our designated testers will evaluate to see if the skater is ready to advance to the next level. Once the skater has successfully passed a test, we will immediately move him/her to the next level and give them a certificate of achievement. No skater is held back in a class that is too easy for them.

Skating ACADEMy

The Ice House Skating Academy is a unique and exciting program that is designed to introduce skaters to the world of competitive figure skating.  Under the direction of 4X Olympic Coach Craig Maurizi the Ice House Skating Academy includes 1 hour of on ice training and 1 half hour of off-ice physical training with Parabolic (located on the second floor). This group training environment not only alleviates high training costs but is proven to motivate young athletes while offering an added benefit of socialization in what would normally be an individualized activity. Similar to the Learn To Skate the Ice House Skating Academy teaches the fundamental skills of ice skating with an added an emphasis on figure skating elements. The Ice House Skating Academy offers weekly testing and a max 5:1 Student/ Teacher ratio. Please note skaters enrolled in the Ice House Skating Academy must have their own skates.
