The North Jersey Avalanche is a nationally ranked hockey organization under the guidance of Dan May, Ice House Hockey Director, and recipient of the prestigious Dr. John J. McMullen Service Award, who has coached every level from Mite to semi pro over the past 40 years. Dan has managed programs that have developed thousands of players from the tri-state area; many of these players have gone on to successful college and professional careers. The Avalanche host close to 40 travel hockey teams at a variety of levels, both Tier I and Tier II.

North Jersey Avalanche Join the Northeast Pack
HACKENSACK, N.J. (MAY 5, 2019) --- Today, a compilation of prominent youth hockey organizations that share a vision for player-focused development announce the formation of “The Northeast Pack.” The regional hockey league will bring some the Northeast’s highest-rated players and organizations together beginning with the 2019-2020 season.
The Northeast Pack will be comprised of the following organizations at the 14U, 15U, 16U & 18U levels:

South Kent School Selects Academy (15-18U Only)
Mount St. Charles Hockey Academy

The North Jersey Avalanche will be hosting charity hockey games to bring awareness and to fuel the fight against cancer. On November 29th @ 7:00 PM at the Ice House in Hackensack, the Avalanche 15U and 16U teams will be playing against Selects Academy, and the Avalanche 18U team will be playing Virtua. All funds will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society. There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and chuck a puck.
