The Development League Program at the North Jersey Avalanche will deliver purposeful coaching, high-caliber competition, and a clear roadmap for developing character and next level hockey players.

Our development model is built to mirror that level: one playbook and one style of play, with possession-based, creative offense and suffocating defense that turns every stop into transition. We teach it the same way at 15U and 17U, so players arrive ready for the systems they will see in the USHL, CHL, NCAA, and NHL. We build that readiness in layers: character and culture first, clear standards and accountability, dedicated weekly special teams and face-off work, and team and individual video review that shows every player what they do well and what comes next.
